Information is an essential input to national development. The modern library has great responsibility in harnessing and utilization of information. The library and information centers strive for high quality of library services which emphasis the actual delivery of information rather than actual delivery of documents for meeting their generic as well as specific needs of the users.
The Central Library follows the open access system, encouraging the user to browse freely in stock area. Standard Text books and books by authors of repute in all fields taught at the college are stocked. The college follows a policy of buying multiples copies of many of these books to make them available to a large number of students.
The College library has 63830 books, 5603 reference titles and 69 journals that cater to all the eight branches of UG and PG courses. All major newspapers, news magazines and books of general interest are also made available.

Automated Library: Central Library & Information Centre is automated fully with NewGenLIb Software. Library used DDC Classification system and books arrangement is branch wise under subject wise.

Barcoded System: All the books are bar-coded in the library & barcode laser scanners are used in the circulation counter for book transaction.

DELNET has been established with the prime objective of promoting resource sharing among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries. It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerized services to users, to coordinate efforts for suitable collection development and also to reduce unnecessary duplication wherever possible.

The above resources can be accessed from any computer (with internet) connected to the campus LAN including Library. IP based access to below resources are provided within MHVR campus / Library.
Open access system is followed in the Library.
Persons desirous of using the library shall enter his/her name, branch and signature legibly in the register at entrance kept for the purpose.
Strict and absolute silence shall be observed in the Library.
Cell Phone to be switched off inside the Library.
Users are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance of the Library.
Library users are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the library.
If the due date falls on a holiday for the Library, the next working day will be taken as the due date.
Books will be issued to the members only on producing the Identity card. Identity Cards are not transferable. Books will not be issued to students on the Identity Card of other students and staff members.
If any book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the person responsible shall replace it with a new copy
Books will be issued subject to availability only.
Any kind of marking, underlining, clipping of books is absolutely forbidden. Readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the book belonging to the Library and shall be required to replace such book or pay the value thereof.
Under special circumstances, the Librarian may refuse the issue of books or recall the books already issued from any member without assigning any reason thereof.
The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his / her.
Reference books, Magazines, Journals should not be taken out.
The Library may accept donation of manuscripts, books, periodicals etc. from the donors. Such donations once accepted will become the absolute property of the College.
Note: The above rules are intended to regulate the use of library resources and will be reviewed periodically to meet the changing needs.
